Over the last three years we have been working on our Longmoor housing proposals and hopefully you’ve had a chance to join some of the consultation sessions or seen the plans here on the website.
We intend to submit an outline planning application in the next few months but before doing so we wanted to invite you, as a close neighbour, to an online neighbour presentation where you can get an update on the plans and ask the team any questions.
Longmoor will provide approximately 500 new homes on the land north of the metrobus line and if outline planning permission is granted, a second detailed planning application would follow. The proposals do not include building on the southern field which has Town Green status so we’re interested in your ideas of how we could enhance this area – perhaps to attract more wildlife.
The Longmoor scheme is linked to the Ashton Gate Sporting Quarter proposals which will include a new home for the Bristol Flyers basketball team as well as a new hotel, residential units, office space, public realm, highway improvements and a new multi-storey car park.
Due to Covid-19 restrictions, the meeting will take place on Zoom and will start with a brief overview of the scheme before a question and answer session. If you’re interested but don’t have access to Zoom, do get in touch.
The online event will start at 6pm on Thursday 18th February 2021 and we expect it to last approximately one hour.
